To help provide timely service to our patients, we prefer to schedule all visits. If you miss half of your appointment, we will try to work you back into the schedule, or perhaps offer an appointment to you with another provider. Out of courtesy to our other patients, we may be forced to ask you to reschedule your appointment.
Occasionally, despite our best efforts, we may run late. We will keep you informed so that you have the option of rescheduling your appointment or seeing another provider, if available.
We make every effort to schedule appointments for acutely ill children on the day that you call us. Please call our office as early as possible during office hours and leave a message to speak to a nurse who will triage your child's illness and help you to decide if and when they need an appointment with one of the physicians. Visits for other concerns are handled similarly, starting with our nurses who will provide you with guidance on if, and when, our doctors should see your child.
Well Child Visits are the one of the most important services we provide to keep your child healthy and to track their growth and development. We recommend that every child adhere to the following schedule. You can call our office 6 months in advance of your child's due date to choose the date that best suits your needs.
Effective October 15, 2019, Children's Health Partners will have one physician available Monday through Friday, from 8:30-9:30am to see patients on a first come, first serve basis for the following complaints:
Fever for less than 5 days
Acute Abdominal Pain
(Chronic issues will not be addressed at these visits,)
The following complaints are NOT appropriate for walk in hour visits:
New Patient Appointments (for any reason)
Chronic Abdominal Pain
Anxiety or Depression
Wart or Molluscum Treatment
Any and all chronic health issues or concerns
Patients who arrive at 9:30am or later will be scheduled for an office visit at a later time. Please call the office, as usual, if you have any questions about your child's health or if you are unsure if your child should be seen by a physician.
The doctors take emergency calls from their homes after hours. Call the main office number, 630-848-1700, and follow the instructions to leave a message for the on-call physician. It is imperative that you leave your child's name, date of birth and your call back number. The call back number is the most important piece of information so please repeat it in your message.
If you have not heard from the on-call physician within an hour, please call again. Please save routine questions (mild illness, appointments, prescription refills) for the next business day.
